Desktop widgets for your Hue lights
A widget is a small always-available window that controls one room, zone, or light without opening the full dashboard — the light you reach for most, kept one click away.
In the free app
- One single-target control per widget — a room, a zone, or a light each count as one target
- Standard widget size, the system theme, and ordinary window behaviour
With Mote Pro
- More than one control in a widget, and multi-target toggle groups
- Widget theme, size, and placement chosen rather than inherited
- Pinning and always-on-top behaviour
Mote Pro is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription, and it is not yet available to buy.

What counts as one target
A room is one target. So is a zone, and so is a single light — a widget pointed at the living room is one control even though the room holds several bulbs. What requires Pro is putting more than one control in the same widget, or a toggle that acts on several targets at once.

Widgets work on the free app as soon as a bridge is paired. See the full feature and tier comparison, or start with the Windows setup guide.
